We are representing our client in the global technology and engineering space to look for an experienced Strategic planning manager to join them. As part of the Strategic Planning team, the candidate will play a pivotal role in planning, analyzing and formulating strategies and policies to support the future requirements and growing the business.
He/She will be exposed to working with different business units and various levels of seniority, and be expected to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to dissect matters and recommend interventions or improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Development
- Conduct Market Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify white space opportunities within and beyond the current business scope.
- Analyse market trends, competitive landscape and customer needs to pinpoint potential areas for business expansion.
- Competitive Strategy Initiatives: Develop detailed plans to capitalize on identified opportunities for organic growth. e.g. new market growth, new customer segment, new capability, etc
- Corporate Strategy Initiatives such as cost and productivity improvements, re-organisations
- M&A, JV, Partnerships & Strategic Investments: Organize and execute BA and LOB-level M&A and Strategic Investment initiatives for inorganic growth, e.g. determine requirements, pipeline growth and monitoring
- Conduct due diligence to assess the financial health, strategic fit, and potential risk of potential target.
- Manage acquisition or investment process from start to end
- Develop integration plans to ensure smooth post-acquisition transition and synergies.
- Strategic Planning with Support Group, BA and LOB-level Strategic Planning Initiatives.
- Preparation of 5-Year Plan, SFC preparation, Business Work Plan, Business Reviews, and Deep Dives
- Work with Group/HQ Strategy Plans Office to seek alignment on the overall company’s plans
- Perform Cadence Tracking to track and monitor progress of Strategic Plan objectives
- Compile LOB Monthly Reports, KPI dashboards, etc
- Organize and prepare Townhalls and other Staff Communication events
Requirements
- Master in Business Administration (MBA) or related field such as finance, economics or strategic management. Knowledge of emerging technology and their potential impact on the business is an advantage.
- Experience in corporate development/ strategic planning/ management consulting
- A strong understanding of financial metric and market dynamics and business acumen in the related industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis and using data-driven insights to inform strategic decision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
