We are currently assisting our client, an established HealthCare Group to search for a Staff Nurse. The position is responsible for nursing, patient care and related administrative duties as assigned by the specialist manager.
This position is also opened to applicants who are interested to pursue employment as a LOCUM.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Register patients, explain charges, collect payment (including day-end closing), schedule follow-up appointments and provide financial counselling for patients scheduled for procedures.
- Answer patient queries through platforms (mobile, telephone, email, face-to-face)
- Maintain and update quality records according to the standard guidelines on identification, filing, storage, maintenance, and disposition of these records where applicable.
- Ensure the consultation and procedure rooms are in order and check that all equipment and supplies are available and ready for use.
- Prepare instruments for procedures (if any), assist doctors and clean procedure rooms.
- Support in OT and anaesthesia procedures
- Handle patient concerns expeditiously and courteously, escalate to the senior team accordingly if in doubt.
- Maintain and highlight any feedback on the quality of service or issues on medical equipment or process to the Supervisor.
- Manage and update stock records for medications stored within the centre, including monitoring of the par level of drugs, medicines, supplies and stationery. Replenish stocks as per the required quantity.
- Chaperone and assist doctors in carrying out treatment and nursing procedures for patients.
- Dispense medications according to doctor’s prescriptions, supported with supervision.
- Cross-support nurses in their duties across each discipline as required
- Any other duties as assigned by the Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board
- BCLS and AED Certified
- Diploma in Nursing or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience an added advantage
- Works precisely and accurately with details and facts. Is methodical and does not overlook details.
- Demonstrates pro-active role in anticipating patient needs and in delivering satisfaction.
- Service oriented, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
