We are representing our client in the global technology and engineering sector to look for an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and governance of the enterprise data architecture. This role requires a strong understanding of data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and integration tools.
As a key technical leader, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the data architecture aligns with business goals and supports current and future data-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the organization’s enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, and best practices.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable data architectures across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
- Provide architectural leadership in the implementation of data virtualization solutions using Denodo.
- Enable advanced analytics and machine learning workflows through platforms like Dataiku, ensuring integration and performance across data environments.
- Architect and optimize pipelines for handling multimedia content, including video/audio processing using tools such as FFmpeg or similar.
- Lead data modeling, metadata management, and data governance efforts.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data architecture solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and frameworks that align with business and technical needs.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in data engineering/architecture roles, with a strong foundation in enterprise data systems.
- Proven experience designing and implementing data architectures in complex, large-scale environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Denodo (or equivalent data virtualization platforms).
- Familiarity with Dataiku or similar advanced analytics/machine learning orchestration platforms.
- Working knowledge of FFmpeg for media processing pipelines, or comparable experience with multimedia data handling.
- Deep expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration patterns.
- Solid understanding of cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Kafka, Airflow).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical conversations.
