We are representing our client, a Kuala Lumpuh (Malaysia) based company to look for an experienced Engineering Coordinator for offshore projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities for offshore projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality, and safety standards.
- Interface with design consultants, vendors, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering deliverables.
- Review and validate engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions in coordination with project managers.
- Ensure compliance with international offshore codes and standards (e.g., API, DNV, ABS).
- Support procurement and construction teams with technical clarifications and engineering inputs.
- Lead technical meetings, design reviews, and interface coordination with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine, or related Engineering discipline.
- 10-15 years of experience in offshore oil & gas or marine infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of offshore engineering practices, fabrication, and installation methodologies.
- Proficient in engineering software (AutoCAD, Navisworks, PDMS/E3D, etc.).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Preferably experienced in working with EPC contractors or offshore consultants.
- Familiare with Indian and international regulatory frameworks.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
