We are representing our client (an established leading IT technology provider) looking for a Technical Consultant to be part of their existing presales team.
Responsibilities
- Working in conjunction with Apple’s Enterprise and Education team, you will provide high-level technical advice and solution guidance to Customers and Channel partners
- Focused on developing and fostering relationships with key customers, Apple resellers, and strategic industry partners, the role requires maintaining superior technical competence and the ability to present that knowledge, both formally and informally
- Development of sales plans and proposals in direct consultation with Sales, Channel, and the Customers
- Maintain high-level competencies in both Apple and Industry-wide technologies and be equipped to answer customers’ and resellers’ enquiries efficiently and effectively.
- Preparing and delivering technology updates and solution presentations to customers
- Keeping resellers up to date and motivated to maximize Apple sales opportunities.
- Facilitating solutions by design and verification process
- Identifying, communicating, and exploiting sales opportunities
- Active cultivation of relationships with reseller staff to ensure ongoing skills development and the best customer experience.
- Maintain links with and encourage the development of a skilled Apple technical community.
- Develop and foster relationships with technical staff and decision-makers of major customers.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the SE, sales, and management team on competitive products.
- Direct interaction with external customers and industry bodies, be present as required at industry events.
- Provide timely reporting as required by management.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a Technology role
- 5 years of Presales Consultancy experience
- Strong technical skills with iOS and macOS are critical.
- Skills in the areas of mobile application development, integration, and security are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Apple’s hardware and software products is an advantage.
- Uncompromising desire to assist Apple’s customers and staff.
- Strong expertise in all areas of IT with strong technical solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in delivering presentations.
- Proven self-starter who can work without supervision displaying effective time management skills
- Desire to provide mentoring to other SE’s
- Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of business and sales practice
- Certification to Apple Support and Development and Management Certifications
- Knowledge and skills in Mobile Device Management
- Knowledge of products and solutions involving Windows, Unix, Networking, Internet Technologies, and cross-platform connectivity
- Mobile application development and iPhone/iOS integration experience
