TRADE & COMMODITY FINANCE RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

We are representing our client, an established large Chinese bank, to look for a Relationship Manager to complement the existing team in the Commodity Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire, develop and manage a portfolio of Commodity clients and extend a comprehensive range of banking services and structured trade finance solutions to corporate clients.
  • Work with product specialist and subject matter experts to structure trade finance products and customized solutions that meet clients’ needs.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet.
  • Drive innovation in the solutions provided to clients and further develop business.
  • Network with clients to identify avenues for new business opportunities.
  • Administrate the credit relationship of the client (including but not limited to preparing term sheet, credit proposals and credit review, implementation of the credit terms and conditions, servicing of client’s day-to-day needs, operation of internal systems, etc.), coordinate and supervise the entire process, ensuring the proper application of the Bank’s policies and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the Bank’s policies/guidelines at all times.
  • Proactively protect the Bank’s assets and reputation by being the first line of defence from risk management perspective.
  • Responsible to meet the KPIs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Trade & Commodity Finance Relationship Manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Strong in commodity structured trade financing, such as prepayment financing, borrowing base financing, pre-shipment financing, etc.
  • Strong ability to expand the customer base from the Commodity sector and undertake projects.
  • Sound credit and financial analysis skill as well as problem solving ability.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and under pressure while making decision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing / negotiation skills.
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese so as to communicate effectively with Chinese speaking customers.
